This DIY Ariel Little Mermaid Halloween costume is, admittedly, not when she was a mermaid. It’s her land outfit, but is still pretty awesome. The mermaid outfit was just a little too difficult, but I’m gonna keep looking for it.

Ariel Little Mermaid DIY Halloween Costume

White Button Down Shirt – A white button down shirt is a basic wardrobe staple. If you don’t already have one in your closet, pick this up, because you need it. Here’s a plus sized version.
Ribbed Tube Top – This helps give the Dirndl look, much like the Sleeping Beauty costume. Pick it up in charcoal.
Momentus Moxie A-Line Skirt – This knee length chiffon skirt is a great item for your Summer and Fall wardrobe, and it comes in plus sizes. After you’re Ariel, of course. This skirt is another great option.
SO Ballet Flats – These skimmers are just a fab wardrobe staple. Pick ’em up in Black for Ariel’s costume.
Oversized Hair Bow – All Disney princesses need a gorgeous bow in their hair. Ariel is no different, especially on land. This giant, oversized bow is her main accessory.
Long Wavy Wig in Red ($17) – This is Ariel’s crowning glory – her long, Red wavy hair. With this wig, there’s no doubt who you are. You might want to pick up a wig cap, too.
This is a great DIY Halloween Costume. It uses a lot of the same pieces as the Sleeping Beauty costume, so if you’re attending a couple of parties, you could get a two-fer for not a whole lot more.
