How to Make Valentine’s Day Sugar Scrub Bars

These Valentine’s sugar scrub bars are such a wonderful way to exfoliate your skin, without all of the mess of a traditional sugar scrub. You can make these sugar scrub bars to pamper yourself, or give as a gift. The heart shaped sugar scrub bars will also look lovely sitting on your bathroom vanity for a Valentine’s Day decoration.

How to Make Valentine’s Day Sugar Scrub Bars

These are such a simple and easy DIY bath and body project. A little melting, a little stirring, and then let it set. Just about anyone can do that, even if you don’t think you’re crafty or creative. Links may be commissioned.

Valentine's Day sugar scrub bar supplies

Supplies:

  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 one inch cubes goat’s milk melt and pour soap base
  • ½ tsp Rosy Mica powder
  • 20-30 drops rose essential oil
  • Silicone mold with flowers, butterflies and hearts
  • Large heat safe measuring cup
  • Wooden craft stick for stirring

 

Directions:

1 Place soap base in measuring cup and heat in microwave on high for 30 seconds. Add sugar, oil, and mica powder. Stir well.

2. Reheat mixture for 10 seconds.

3. Add essential oil. Stir well.

4. Pour into mold and let set for about an hour, until it becomes a solid bar.

5. Once set and solid, pop the bars out of the mold.

Voila!  You’ve created solid sugar scrub bars that are perfect for a Valentine’s Day gift for anyone in your life. Fill up a pretty mason jar or apothecary jar with these, and add a bow and a tag around it for gifting. Instant gift that people won’t believe you made yourself.

Materials
