Skincare. We all know it’s important, right? I mean, have you seen some of these skincare routines for your face that involve 10 or more steps? Who has time for that?
One thing that I’m always a little shocked by is the fact that we spend all this time and money on our face and neck areas, but rarely seem to take even half the time on the rest of our bodies.
Oh yes, full body skin care is a thing, and it’s high time we start paying attention to it. And maybe, just maybe participating a little more than we do.
We’re walking you through a full body skincare routine using items from BIA. Their products are clinically formulated, are clean, and use better for you ingredients. Not only that, BIA’s line uses many ingredients that are normally only found in skincare for the face, and the products are proudly made in Canada.
Cleanse your skin
This seems like an obvious first step, but you’d be surprised at how many people don’t do this. The BIA Charcoal Clarifying Body Cleanser is a great choice. It’s a foam cleanser that has charcoal, tea tree oil, and a little salicylic acid. The viscosity is perfect for use with a loofah or bath poof. Use it to remove the impurities and buildup from life. These ingredients also help to balance your skin’s pH levels, soothe irritation, and prevent and treat minor blemishes.
Exfoliate
Exfoliating is one of my favorite steps in my skincare routine. It’s not only important to exfoliate your face and neck, but also your arms, legs, and torso. BIA’s Body Polish with Glycolic Acid is an excellent choice. Combining both glycolic acid and environmentally friendly silica beads, this scrub gets rid of those dead skin cells. The gentle texture means you can use it 3-4 times a week, without fear of causing more damage. Not only that, but the BIA Body Polish was clinically developed to decongest pores, help prevent blemishes, and even your skin’s tone and texture. It even helps to prevent ingrown hairs. Now, that’s a win.
For those areas that need a little extra love, like your elbows, ankles, and knees, or where you might have keratosis pilaris, there’s the BIA Exfoliating Treatment Mist. It’s sort of like an exfoliating toner, in a spray bottle. Simply spray on the areas that need a little extra exfoliation and leave to dry. You don’t have to rinse it off.
Moisturize your skin
Almost everyone does this step, whether they use a body butter, lotion, or a dry oil. But you’ll be amazed at how much better your skin looks and feels when you moisturize after cleansing and exfoliating properly. BIA’s Body Gloss is a dry oil that is loaded with antioxidants and has just a touch of color and shimmer. Never fear, though! The color and shimmer are so subtle, I wasn’t even sure it was really there. That’s saying something since I’m a very fair ginger.
The Body Gloss sprays in a squirty stream that you then pair with BIA’s Body Brush. This thing is so soft, and contours perfectly to your arms or legs. The brush helps blends the body oil in, and you’re left feeling ready to take on the day, and not oily or greasy at all. The combination of the brush and the Body Gloss eaves just a little sunkissed shimmer that looks and feels amazing.
Following these few simple steps, and getting into a skincare routine that involves not only your face, but your body, will change your mind. Your skin will look and feel so much better, and you’ll start to reverse those signs of aging.
