5 Travel Essentials | Atlanta Version | 5 Easy Pieces

Special thanks to U by Kotex for sponsoring today’s conversation about travel essentials.

It seems like every time I go somewhere, it takes me forever to figure out what I’m going to pack. I swear, I must spend at least as much time as I’m going to be gone trying to figure out what to bring with me. Packing for a 4 day trip? Gotta spend at least 10 days obsessing about it.

As I type this, I am packing my suitcase for a short trip to Atlanta. This is a short list of the things that I am sure to pack. Why? Because I always pack these things, even if I haven’t used them on my last 7 or 8 trips. I’d rather overpack than be caught without one of these travel essentials.

A sweater

Your grandma always told you to bring a sweater, and she was right. Especially at those times of year when the weather is volatile. Like, heyyy…the beginning of fall.

A dress

You never know when you’re going to need a dress. Unless you wear dresses all the time when you travel, then you’re probably good to go. I am a shorts, capris, or jeans kind of person, so bringing a dress is a total just in case one of my travel essentials for me.

A great palette

One of the benefits of taking a great palette is that you can transition from day to night in a couple quick and easy steps. A lot of palettes even have a full set of eye shadows, blush, and highlighter and/or bronzer. That’s really convenient, and a total travel essential.

A credit card

I have a couple credit cards that are my travel cards. They have decent limits, low to no interest, and good travel insurance. This gives me the flexibility to change my plans on a whim, take an excursion I hadn’t necessarily planned for, and gives me a cushion in case of emergency.

U by Kotex Panty Liners

Chances are that you’ll have a long, eventful day. Panty liners help keep you fresher longer by wicking away sweat and moisture from heat, humidity, and whatever else. U by Kotex panty liners are great for this, and so much more. Right now, U by Kotex is running an awesome contest. Just upload your uncomfy selfie for a chance to win some seriously fab prizes. You can also get a $1 off coupon.

Tell me – what are your must have travel essentials?
